I tried to make this shawl when I first started knitting and it was a bit too ambitious for my skills then but I really liked it so I kept it in my queue for later. I added more rows to the body and border and it’s a very good size to be useful. The colors in this are just beautiful and carzy thing – I found another skein of this after I cast off. I’ll save it for a scarf I think. If I had the chance to do it again, I would change the border to ‘grow’ at it’s edges. The border in the pattern has no increases, so it looks a bit odd to me. The yarn was from my trip to the Knitter’s Connection convention in Ohio years ago. Shame they don’t hold that anymore.

About Michelle B…I'm the wife of a dashing fella, mother to 3 grown men and pooper scooper to one very sweet blonde rescue dog.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE what I do. I'm a web designer/illustrator/coder by day and a non-stop crafty individual by night. I’ve been a dollhouse IGMA Artisan for quite sometime and put that on a back burner a few years ago to learn knitting - I've crocheted since before kindergarten, but always wanted to knit. Finally, I met a lovely person who got me started and YouTube helped with the rest. I love to make just about everything out of textiles, fiber, wood, clay and paint. You can usually find me in my
craft roomstudio playing with my yarn stash, patterns, books, beads, miniatures, fabrics, clay, paper, wood, and paints!
